Cross-checked, not guessed
Your casting type isn't one snap answer. After we name your primary type, a second, fully independent read checks the same profiles blind — an outside opinion, not an echo. On a reproducible benchmark of 104 labeled profiles, the two agreed on the primary type 92% of the time (~85× chance).
From an internal, reproducible benchmark of 104 de-identified performer descriptions, each labeled with an intended casting type from our ~117-type vocabulary. We named the intended primary type correctly 93% of the time (top-1) and within our top 3 for 99% of profiles. Separately, a second, fully independent system built on a different AI model family, run blind on the same profiles, agreed on the primary type 92% of the time versus the ~1% expected by chance. These measure our internal and cross-model consistency on labeled profiles — not a comparison with human casting directors, and not a prediction of auditions, callbacks, or bookings.
A casting type is how casting directors categorize performers based on the roles they're naturally suited for. It's based on your energy, presence, skills, and the qualities you project.
We analyze your self-description, energy, skills, and optional photo/voice/video to identify the casting types that fit you best, then cross-check the read. More input = more accurate results.
Media uploads are processed temporarily and deleted within 24 hours. We do not store your photo, voice, or video permanently unless you create a profile.
Yes, as many times as you'd like.
In the entertainment industry, a casting type is how casting directors categorize performers based on the roles they're naturally suited for. Your casting type is determined by your energy, screen presence, vocal quality, physicality, and the intangible qualities that make you memorable in an audition room.
Common casting types include Leading Man/Lady, Character Actor, Ingenue, Anti-Hero, Comic Relief, Femme Fatale, Best Friend, and many more. Most performers have a primary type and one or two secondary types that define their unique combination.
StagePass reads your self-described energy, skills, experience, and optional photo or video to identify your casting types — weighing the same signals a casting director does: attitude, presence, vocal quality, and the roles you're naturally drawn to. Every read is cross-checked for consistency against a benchmark of labeled performer profiles.
